The overtime loss to Toros Mexico was especially tough because of the way Real was able to come back in the end. In what was probably the most thrilling game of the year for Real, Mike Cudmore headed in the ball for a goal with .5 seconds left on the clock. Going into OT, Toros dominated early and backup GK Roman Madrid hit a screamer that sealed the victory for them.
This game also marked the first home game for Real in their new arena, Arizona Sports Complex on 35th Avenue and Pinnacle Peak. I think everyone agreed that driving to Queen Creek was just a little too far. But the new arena is closer to everyone which resulted in an awesome crowd of 500 people. Next home game to Real will be on Saturday, February 9th, when they host Las Vegas Legends.
