ASU’s season has come to a close with a first round loss to Baylor in the NCAA Tournament. A very tough game for the Devils as Baylor’s physical play prevailed in the end. ASU didn’t help themselves with poor defensive play that resulted into two Baylor goals from poor marking. Another Baylor goal was the result of a failed clearance by ASU that somehow found the back of the net.
It wasn’t the end ASU was looking for but they had yet another successful season making their third NCAA appearance in a four-year span. A five-game unbeaten streak at the end of the season (4-0-1) enabled it to finish fourth in the Pac-12. ASU’s best league finish since 2004.
